For as long as I can remember, the world of the paranormal has fascinated me. It’s been a journey—one that started in childhood and has grown into something far more intricate and meaningful over the years. Today, as I finally take the leap with this project, the Curious Raven Chronicles, I find myself looking back on those early days with a sense of gratitude and nostalgia. This isn’t just a blog or a podcast; it’s a culmination of a lifetime’s passion, one that has led me through darkened hallways and forgotten stories, all in the search for answers.
My dad was the first to notice my budding curiosity. While most kids my age were interested in superheroes or video games, I was drawn to the mysterious and unexplained. Instead of dismissing my interests, he encouraged them—bringing home books from the library filled with stories of haunted houses, ghost sightings, and unexplained phenomena. These books were my first glimpse into a world that lay beyond our everyday understanding.

Then came a pivotal moment that shaped my path: the day my dad took me to see Ed and Lorraine Warren at Kutztown University. The Warrens were legendary figures in the world of paranormal research, known for their investigations into some of the most infamous hauntings. I still remember sitting in that lecture hall, listening intently as they shared the evidence they had collected over the years, including the eerie recordings of voices they claimed to have captured in European castles—voices they said belonged to demons.
That experience was thrilling, but it also taught me an important lesson about maintaining a healthy dose of skepticism. As much as I wanted to believe every word they said, some of their stories went beyond the realm of reality, including tales of werewolves and other fantastical creatures. It was then that I realized the importance of questioning what we hear and see. This skepticism became a core principle for me, guiding my investigations and keeping me grounded.
But despite the doubts that crept in, my fascination with the paranormal never faded. My dad and I spent countless weekends visiting haunted locations—places like Gettysburg, Cape May, NJ, and any haunted hotel we could find. Each trip deepened my love for this strange, shadowy world. I was always drawn more to the personal stories behind the hauntings than the thrill of fear. I wanted to understand the people who had lived through these experiences, their struggles, their hopes, and why their stories lingered beyond death.

Years later, after many paranormal ventures, I went on to found Penns Ghost Paranormal, a small group based in Berks County, PA. We dedicated ourselves to investigating private haunts—those overlooked places that most paranormal enthusiasts tend to ignore in favor of more famous sites like Pennhurst or Eastern State Penitentiary. Don’t get me wrong, those locations have their place in the paranormal world, but I found that many groups visited them for the recognition, for the social media views, or to make a name for themselves.
My focus was different. I wanted to help people understand what they were experiencing and work through their fears. Many times, our investigations ended with explaining that a home wasn’t haunted at all but rather had a logical explanation. And that, to me, was just as rewarding as capturing a voice on a digital recorder or witnessing a shadow figure.
As the Curious Raven Chronicles takes flight, I hope to share those experiences with you—not just the evidence and the eerie moments, but the deeper stories and lessons I've learned along the way. In my next blog, I’ll explore how a certain time of year—one that’s approaching now (not just Halloween)—seems to bring an uptick in paranormal activity. Is it just the atmosphere, or is there something more to it? I’ll share some of my thoughts and theories, and hopefully, we’ll uncover a few mysteries together.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. There’s much more to come, and I can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us.
